Why Get Clean San Diego

Sober living with structure that works

Built by people in recovery, for people in recovery. We know what makes a house work because we've lived it.
  • Real structure and accountability

Curfews, random drug testing, house chores and clear expectations that are applied the same way for everyone. Residents say it's what makes our houses different.

  • Recovery at the center

Every resident works a 12-step program with a sponsor. We point you to strong local meetings and expect you to show up for them.

  • Clean, comfortable homes

Five well-kept houses in Escondido and San Marcos, four for men and one for women, with real living rooms, full kitchens and outdoor space.

  • A community that shows up

House BBQs, Friendsgiving, food drives and the Walk for Sobriety. People leave our homes with friends in long-term recovery, not just a clean test.

We're here to help you thrive

After years of personal and professional experience, we founded Get Clean San Diego to help individuals make their sobriety a reality. With our comprehensive system of accountability, you'll unearth renewed confidence and tactics to help your life thrive.

  • “Connor sets the bar for how to operate a well-structured sober living. The standards are clear, the expectations are consistent, and the accountability system is set up in a way that keeps his home(s) running smoothly and the residents supported. This particular property itself is a standout: PLENTY of parking, a central Escondido location, and an overall layout is CLEAN and cozy. The tennis court and east mountain view adds the ultimate wow factor after stepping out back. If you’re looking for a recovery residence, or sober living with structure…Get Clean San Diego has written the book. One last important note; he has many other options to choose from in North County as well. Thanks for paving the way Connor!”

  • “Amazing house , helped me so much with my recovery and get all of my good habits re inforced . Clean space and managers are very attentive. Huge area probably the best sober living I’ve ever seen / lived at. Guitars in living room made my stay feel even more welcoming . Living room kitchen and rooms are spotless .”

  • “I have lived in three different sober living homes and this is by far my best experience. A rock solid program with great results. While living here I have met so many people with long term sobriety that have completely turned their lives around. If you are thinking about committing to sobriety there is no doubt that this is the place to be!”

  • “I can't recommend this sober living enough. If you or a loved one is looking for a place to help transition into a clean/sober and productive lifestyle you won't find a better place or better people. When I came here I was still new in recovery and had family and legal problems. The staff and residents made sure I felt welcomed and helped to make sure all of my legal obligations were taken care of. Today my family and I are together and happy and I am grateful for my time at this sober living. We have to do the hard work ourselves but it's important to have good people around and this place made of the best!”

  • “After coming out of inpatient rehab this place helped me build a good routine and structure in my life. The staff have been nothing but supportive and help you get your life back together by recommending good 12 step meetings and finding a new job. I would recommend this place to anyone in recovery trying to stay sober. It has a good community that supports one another and helps each other through fellowship.”

  • “This place is by far the most honest place I have seen for a sober living. I have been looking at a place for my cousin and this was the best. Top notch manager and cleanliness of the house. You won’t be disappointed. Connor answered all my questions and was super helpful in guiding me through the process to help my cousin. Highly recommend.”

  • “I had the opportunity to visit for my husband and I could not have picked a better place. The manager was super helpful in answering all our questions as this is my husband's first time in a sober living. We weren't sure what to expect but this is such a clean and positive environment. I feel that anyone who is looking for a place to get clean and stay sober this is the one for you.”

  • “The Sky House has done for me what I could not to do on my own. Connor’s design for a supportive and sober living is parallel to none. Early sobriety is scary enough and trying to find a safe environment in a sea of sketchy and money minded houses seems impossible. I knew I made the right choice when I called Connor about housing. If you’re serious about your sobriety, this house holds the key to finding fulfillment and purpose in recovery.”

Questions

Questions people ask first

A sober living home is a shared, alcohol- and drug-free house for people in recovery. It isn't treatment: there are no therapy sessions or medical staff on site. What it gives you is structure, accountability and a house full of people working the same program, so the habits you started in treatment have somewhere to take root.

Every home is alcohol- and drug-free, with a curfew, random drug testing and a shared household routine, including daily chores. Residents take part in a 12-step program and work with a sponsor. You'll go over the full house agreement before you move in. See how our sober living works.

Not necessarily, but you do need to be sober when you arrive. If you're still drinking or using, or could have a dangerous withdrawal, start with detox or treatment first. Call us and we'll talk through where you are and point you to the right next step.

We have five homes in North County San Diego. Men's homes: the Poolhouse in San Marcos, and the Skyhouse, Clubhouse and Ranchhouse in Escondido. Women's home: the Parkhouse in Escondido.
